The two marker rods are connected to a tape measure that is exactly 3.6 meters apart. These rods are then stuck into the ground at the fishing spot in order to measure the distance. Once the rig has been thrown perfectly to the marker, all you have to do is clip the line into the clip on the reel and then measure the distance using the Spot On Stix.
